Covid-19 Restart Plan

 SCREENING PROCEDURES:

Pre-screening:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : All therapists will wear facemasks for their protection and to minimize the risk to their patients. Patients will have to wear a face mask during the the entire treatment and inside the clinic.

Therapists will not be wearing gloves, but clients can choose to do so at their discretion.

Patients are welcome to use PPE in the capacity that they need to feel safe in order to receive treatment.

24 hours prior to your appointment patients will receive an online, fillable “Mandatory COVID-19 Screening and Informed Consent” document that must be completed prior to their appointment.

If the “Mandatory COVID-19 Screening and Informed Consent” has not been completed as requested within two hours prior to an appointment, therapists will contact patients directly to inform them that they must complete the form or reschedule their appointment.

All therapists will also complete the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool at the start of each day.

If either the therapist or the patient are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell, and have not been tested for COVID-19, they will be recommended to call 8-1-1 for additional screening help.  In the event that either the therapist or the patient need to cancel the appointment due to an indicator on the Self-Assessment Tool, there will be no missed or late-cancelled appointment fees and patients will be able to rebook at a later date.

Screening Upon Arrival:

Therapists will review the BC COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool upon arrival to confirm there have been no changes to their condition.

The therapist will cancel the treatment if the patient does not meet the pre-screening criteria on physical presentation.
